Gourd Sitaras
Sitaras with gourd bodies are considerably lighter than wooden bodies. The shape and depth of each gourd varies from gourd to gourd, giving each instrument it's own character. The sound tends to be more sitarlike than the wooden bodies. The gourds do not scratch as easily as wood and have even withstood falling out of cars and such minor bumps (although we don't recomend doing that). Our gourds are thicker than most sitar gourds.
