What is a Sitara?
Sitaras are basically a small, simplified sitar. The sitara was invented by a an English man who studied a variety of Indian classical instruments over a 16 year period in India. During those years, he  discovered the disadvantages to playing his Indian instruments, but still loved the exotic sound, so he tried to make something in between the east and the west. The heart wanted the sound, but the mind didn't want to spend the twenty years or so studying. So a compromise was built. It has evolved over the years thru trial and error, many instruments and thirty some years later, it had become a quest of it's own. And so the sitara has come to it's present form.
