![]() The Bass Sitara has 14 strings; four main playing strings, two chickari strings, and eight resonance strings. It's body is carved out of jackwood, the same wood that the veena is traditionally carved from. The top plate is Port Orford cedar, with an ebony fretboard. Needless to say it is a heavy instrument, but the extra sound is worth the weight.
It is the loudest version of a sitara. The sound has been described as "colassal".
We have limited bass sitaras in stock, but highly recomend them.
Priced at $2,900 -$3,500
